Class Assignment - My Favourite Book

There are many books I've read over the years that I've enjoyed very much, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella. This book is about a girl named Poppy, who loses her antique engagement ring in a hotel fire drill and has her phone stolen soon after. When she finds an abandoned phone in a recycling bin and begins to read its messages and emails, she finds herself becoming closer to the phone's owner, Sam, when she starts to keep him updated on all the information being sent to his phone while she is borrowing it to use as a contact number for anyone who may find her lost ring. What I like most about this book is the clever, light-hearted humor and the consistent turns of events. The reason this book is my favourite is because there are so many plot twists near the middle and end that I had not even slightly predicted were going to happen while I was reading it. It always makes you genuinely think one thing is going to happen and then something completely different happens, leaving you on the edge of your seat throughout this entire story. I think people who like more comedic and sweet storylines/writing styles would enjoy this book the most, and would definitely recommend it to this type of reader!!

  1. Interesting concept--I am very nosy and love looking into people's lives so I would be hooked if I found a phone LOL. My favourite thing to do when I go for a walk is to look into people's windows and imagine what their life is like. I know it kind of makes me a creeper--probably TMI about your teacher LOL
